About us: souldavis consists of the singer Clarence Davis and the guitarist Martin Fischer. We formed this group in March of 2007. Since then we were and still are playing live in hotels, bars, night clubs or open air concerts. We used to tour in Spain in 2007 and 2008. Recently we moved to Tirol in Austria. souldavis is currently touring all over Europe.

Our sound: We play a good mix of Soul, Blues, Funky songs of the 70's, a bit of Reggae and contemporary Pop Music. Check us out in one of our videos or listen to a audio demo.

Clarence Davis is one of the great professional Afro-American vocalists, well known for his soulful voice and great song interpretation. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia, USA in 1950, where he was raised and educated. Throughout his school time he sang with the church choir of his home church, where he was admired as an excellent solo-singer and at this time is was already clear for Clarence, that he once wanted to become a singer!

But many years went by, until he reached his dream to come true. In 1968 began his military duty in the army, where he served 13 month in Vietnam. After he came home he worked in many different jobs, but then his dream came true and he began his professional career in 1972 as the cofounder of the national and international acclaimed vocal group "Splendour".

Throughout his illustrious 25 year career Clarence Davis has opened for such artists as James Brown, Bruce Willies, George Carlin, Gladys Knight, Lou Rawls, The Temptations, The O'Jays, and many more…

He has earned the admiration and respect of his peers and fans alike. But to fulfill his dream to be a solo artist, in 2000, after he was staying in Europe for more than 15 years, Clarence broke away and started his solo-career. With his warm voice and great stage presence Clarence Davis has been envisioned as one of todays accomplished vocalists.

Clarence Davis has performed before audiences all throughout America and Europe. He lived in Spain, Germany and Austria, where he finally found a second home and married his Tyrolean (Austria) wife, where is very well liked by the local people not only for his art, but also for his warm and kind personality.

Martin Fischer is a 30 year old Austrian guitarist known for his tone and his original instrumentals. He grew up in a town called St. Johann in Tirol which is a neighbouring town of the famous ski resort Kitzbühel. Naturally he took up skiing and snowboarding at a very young age, Martin even used to teach both for the local ski school.

While staying in Spain for 3 years he took up all sorts of computer technologies like web development and database management, which helped him a lot in the makings of this website. Next to being the guitarist of souldavis he is also the webmaster of www.souldavis.com

Influenced by great guitarists like Eric Clapton and Joe Satriani, he lets his guitar speak for him. His sound ranges from bluesy and dirty to simply beautiful. Martin toured with "The New Fun Generation", "Just 4 Fun" and "Stonefish" throughout Europe. His first band called "fullstop" was formed when he was 16 years old.

His current setup consists of 2 Fender Stratocasters loaded with Lace hot gold and chrome dome pickups over a line6 pod x3 live, or a pod xt live and a Cort acoustic guitar.
